Robert Ong
A quiet thinker with strong principles and big goals.
Hi, I'm Robert Ong — a reflective learner, aspiring web designer, and someone who finds depth in both logic and emotion. I believe that to truly know who you are, you must listen to yourself — and I mean that literally. My days are often filled with inner dialogues, helping me reflect, connect, and make thoughtful decisions.
These conversations help me understand the world from many angles — and more importantly, understand others, too.
"Robert is a highly curious scholar. He showcases this by posing unique questions, having viewed issues from distinct perspectives. His distinctive viewpoint significantly enriches discussions."
Vincent Marcel
My Mentor

The Grandfather Clock
The grandfather clock represents the way I operate in life: structured and contemplative. Like its pendulum — a blend of heart and brain — I strive to balance logic and empathy in everything I do.
The transparent glass embodies my emotional sensitivity and ability to read the room, while the sturdy casing reflects my grounded and principled nature. Blue and white are my personality in color: sincere, introspective, and connection-driven.

I believe quality matters, and it shows in everything I do — from maintaining a GPA of 3.97 to how I structure my projects. I'm a perfectionist not for praise, but because I believe my work reflects who I am.
I hold myself accountable. My belief in karma means I treat every task with care and integrity, even when no one is watching.
I don't just memorize — I connect. I analyze patterns, reflect deeply, and build understanding layer by layer. This helps me grasp new concepts quickly and apply them meaningfully.
My analytical mind allows me to break down complexity into simple, structured insights. Whether I'm debugging code or solving real-world problems, I let logic guide the way.
I always ask, "What if we saw this differently?" Whether it's approaching a design or leading a project, I enjoy flipping the perspective to find solutions others might miss.
I'm constantly evolving and adding new skills to my repertoire. Stay tuned to discover more about my capabilities.
Design with purpose. Learn with reflection. Grow with intention.
"When you see a good move, look for a better one."
Emanuel Lasker
Former World Chess Champion
This quote reflects how I approach design — and life. I don't settle for "good enough." I believe in pausing, evaluating, and crafting the best possible outcome. This mindset is at the heart of my mission:
"I don't just create websites that look visually appealing — I design to empower Indonesia's UMKM and bring them closer to the digital exposure."
Indonesia is home to more than 65 million UMKM, contributing over 60% of our GDP — yet many still struggle to compete in the digital space. Lack of access, limited tech understanding, and low online visibility hold them back — and that's where I come in.
I chose to become a web designer because it's where creativity meets impact. By combining aesthetics, usability, and empathy, I help businesses tell their story online — clearly and confidently. With the right design, even the smallest brand can look credible, trustworthy, and professional.
I want to become the bridge between UMKM and the digital world — to give them a platform, a voice, and a better chance to thrive. I believe that every action, even the slightest ones, will contribute to Indonesia's overall development, especially in achieving SDGs #9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
Until graduation, I'm committed to the following goals:
Maintain a GPA above 3.80
Graduate with Cum Laude honors
These goals reflect the same values I apply to my mission: dedication, excellence, and meaningful impact.

While my focus is design, I also value security. I've studied ethical hacking to ensure that the websites I create are not only beautiful but also safe.
